Led by our dedicated team member, infamous author, international writer, artist, drama actor, and cultural icon – Abdel-Ghani Karamullah, or as he introduces himself to his audience as “Baba Ghani”, who specializes in storytelling at our school.
Baba Ghani writes stories that target social or individual behaviors, fortifying the good, and clarifying why the bad is bad, as well as makes suggestions to what may be done differently. He draws his stories and characters on paper, or makes them using recycled items, or uses dough to transfer his messages in a fun, engaging, and relaxing environment.
Baba Ghani’s classes are highly sought after. He uses attention-grabbing techniques like singing, and mimics numerous sounds – whether they be animals, an old person, or a young child.
His stories are all from the Sudanese local culture, and at KMS, we focus mainly on the issues that need to be taught, or to address behavioral matters. Storytelling is the most unique element about KMS. In addition, it is the first of its kind in the Sudanese educational system, and we are delighted to be the pioneers of such sessions.
