Why KMS?

Khartoum Montessori School (KMS) welcomes children between the ages of TWO’s (2yrs) to Grade 2 (8yrs). Following the principles of Dr. Maria Montessori, the curriculum at KMS encourages independence from an early age, while building a sound foundation for languages, reading, and mathematics. KMS also incorporates Glenn Doman practices to support all students in acquiring hundreds of new English vocabulary and encyclopedic knowledge.

KMS offers Montessori education and maintains a student-guide ratio of 10 to 1, giving each student the opportunity for individualized learning and personalized instruction.

KMS has developed its own Leadership Academy (LA) curriculum for children aged 3 – 9 years. The LA is the first of its kind in Sudan, and runs for the full academic year 3 times per month. It is designed to enhance the Soft Skills of KMS students and support the development of well-rounded characters by teaching Communication and Presentation skills, Mind Mapping, in addition to introducing them to role model leaders from all aspects of life.

Moreover, our students are exposed to a variety concepts of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) activities, so they are prepared for the ever evolving world. Virtual Reality (VR), IoT and hands-on computer programming, and exploring robotics and other sciences is an important part of the LA.

KMS entered its second year with a magnificent indoor swimming pool, tennis ground, football yard, plus a new gymnastics coach. KMS is still the only authentic Montessori school in Sudan, providing the experience of a “whole child education”, and building a Montessori community that believes in our core values of Respect, Confidence and Compassion.
